
Kia discovered Harvest Home when she was five months pregnant and living in her car. While at Harvest Home in Santa Monica, she prepared to become a mother while advancing her career, which gave her the ability to move into her own apartment when her son was four months old.
"Coming in, I thought I just needed the basics, but I learned that I needed all of it—therapy, friends, community, and classes. And I needed time! Knowing I had flexibility allowed me to find stability. The consistency helped me be the best mom I could be. When I walked in, I wasn't ready to be a mom. But when I left, I thought, I’m going to be a really good mom!"
