Current Opportunities
Vocation Promotion Assistant
This is a full-time on-site role of a Vocation Promotion Assistant and is located at our Orange, CA office. The Vocation Promotion Assistant will support and assist the Vocation Director with recruiting and promoting new vocations by sharing the history, mission, values, and ministries. The person will need to work closely with other staff members to develop materials for promotion and marketing, lead activities, and maintain accurate data for reporting, as well as collaborating to execute other tasks within the mission of the office.

General Responsibilities:
-
Relate the history, charism, spirituality, mission, and ministries of the Congregation.
-
Work collaboratively with major departments of the Congregation such as Communications, Justice Center, Center for Spiritual Development and St. Joseph Worker Ministry.
-
Plan and implement programs in partnership with the Vocation Team and offer feedback on promotion programs.
-
Promote the Sisters of St. Joseph of Orange in parishes, institutes of education, and appropriate events to engage persons in understanding the charism, spirituality, mission, and ministries of the Congregation.

Interface with inquirers, youth/young adults using social media approved by the Vocation
-
Director and in collaboration with the Communications Department.

Identify and participate in planning and carrying out promotion events both internal and
-
external to the Congregation.

Collaborate with Vocation Directors of other Congregations and regional NRVC to sponsor, create, and participate in events and attend meetings as required.

Prepare a detailed written report for the Director of Vocations on a quarterly basis, and other reports, both written and oral, as required.

Maintain office materials in an appropriate manner

Qualifications & Requirements
-
Roman Catholic woman with an understanding of the many forms of religious life.
-
Ministry experience, including knowledge of Catholic social teaching, social justice issues, and sensitivity to the roles that laity and religious have in the Church.
-
Familiarity with the charism and mission of the Sisters of St Joseph of Orange, and/or an ability to enter into the spirituality of the mission and values of the Congregation.
-
A highly resourceful and collaborative leader, who is creative by nature, and is willing and able to work independently when required.
-
Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to articulate ideas and communicate effectively when in public.
-
Strong technological capabilities, experience in social media and ability to make best use of social media outlets in consultation with the Vocation Director and Communication Department.

Previous experience in marketing and digital marketing.

Planning, administrative, and organizational skills.

Flexible, adaptable to changing situations while maintaining confidentiality and personal integrity.

Bilginal (Spanish or Vietnaamese) is preferred, but no required.
Administrative Coordinator
Provide administrative and secretarial support as required by the Director. Consistently advise and consult with the Director on matters concerning the efficient operation of the office. Work collaboratively with the Director of the CSJ Educational Network, Assistant Director and support staff. Prepare and monitor activities for volunteer staff.

General Responsibilities:

Provide administrative support for all events

Arrange meetings in consultation with the Director and Assistant Director

Reserve and coordinate meeting rooms

Plan for all necessary audiovisual equipment for the meeting

Negotiate and contract with vendors for a variety of services related to the meetings

Monitor services to ensure contract terms are met

Coordinate services for meetings/events, food services and setup

Coordinate travel arrangements for Principals’ meetings, Advisory Board meetings and others as requested

Track statistical information regarding each program, e.g., number of participants, costs, schools participating, evaluation summary, etc.

Prepare all materials, handouts, name tags, etc. for all events

Creates electronic workshop (Survey Monkey) evaluations for all events to gather statistical data.

Tracks and compiles data, distributes results to recipients.

Qualifications & Requirements

Minimum Education Requirements: Bachelor’s degree, or 5 years’ experience in office administration setting in lieu of degree

Experience: Minimum 3 years of office experience

Preferred experience: Understanding of or experience with Catholic elementary education and/or M.A. in Pastoral Theology

Food Service & Utility Worker
Sisters of St. Joseph of Orange is looking to hire a Food Service & Utility Worker to join their Dietary team. This is a Non-Exempt, Full-Time, 40 hours per week position.
The Food Service & Utility Worker will work under direct supervision and maintain kitchen
work areas in a clean and orderly condition by performing the following duties.

General Responsibilities:

Ability to scrape food from dirty dishes and washes them by hand or places them in racks or dishwashing machine

Ability to wash pots, pans, and trays
-
Ability to sweep and mop kitchen floors
-
Ability to wash worktables, walls, refrigerators, and other equipment as needed
-
Ability to segregate and remove trash and compost; place it in designated containers/ areas
-
Ability to clean garbage cans and compost bins
-
Ability to transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas
-
Ability to set up banquet tables, assist with catering set-ups and pick-ups
-
Ability to deliver and pick up food and supplies to and from dining areas
-
Ability to assist with unloading the delivery of both food and supplies
-
Ability to clean equipment using specific chemicals to ensure sanitary standards

Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload

Ability to work variable shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Team Lead, LVN, RN
Within the framework of the Operational Philosophy and Goals of the Special Care Unit, organizes the activities of the Nursing Team for the shift in such a manner as to achieve competent and safe nursing care while respecting the uniqueness of each resident. The Team Leader is responsible for the performance of the nursing care team for the shift.

Essential Functions:

Works with the Administrator & RN Supervisor to ensure that the Mission and Values of the CSJ Sisters and St. Joseph Center are implemented into the care that is provided to all patients (residents) at Regina Residence.

Is knowledgeable about the health status & care needs of each patient and addresses these needs based on the person-centered care philosophy.

Administers medication and treatments in a safe and timely manner.

Implements physician’s orders for each patient with accuracy, thoroughness and understanding and in accordance with pharmacy policy.

Responds professionally, swiftly, and appropriately in the event of an emergency (i.e. medical emergency, fire, earthquake).

Documents summary of patient’s condition as needed and on a regular basis in patient’s chart.

Communicates changes of condition to the appropriate individual(s) (i.e. RN Supervisor, POA, next of kin).

EVS Housekeeper
This position reports to the EVS supervisor. The general responsibilities of the position include those listed below but Sisters of St. Joseph of Orange may identify other responsibilities of the position.

Perform miscellaneous cleaning tasks daily as directed by supervisor.

Participate in general cleaning project at Regina Residence and other campus locations as

directed by supervisor.

Participate in other campus general cleaning projects.

Perform specialized upholstery cleaning as directed by supervisor.

Clean EVS cart and resupply daily.

Keep storage closets organized and notify supervisor of any supply needs.

Manage trash disposal in accordance with campus environmental standards for regular

trash, recycle and compost materials.

Complete any payroll edits or Requests for Time Off and submit to EVS supervisor in a

timely manner.

Attend department staff, safety, and in-service meetings.

Keep supervisor informed of supply needs.

Report any maintenance and safety issues to Operations.
