Current Opportunities

Administrative Assistant 

The Center for Spiritual Development (CSD) Administrative Assistant is responsible for the general clerical and creative needs of CSD, working in collaboration with the Office Manager and Program Manager and ASD Coordinator.  Assignments are to be performed in a manner consistent with CSD mission, values, and policies.

Essential Functions:

  • Assists with ASD and CSD clerical, technological, and reporting needs of the ministry: i.e., upload to portal, class materials, program evaluations, forms, registration, Presenters’ contracts, On-the-Road tracking, etc.

  • Assists in the production, distribution, and replenishment of promotional literature such as flyers, brochures, rack cards, postcards, and newsletters.  Production and distribution include, Diva, mail preparation, e-mail distribution and other means of communication as directed.

  • Assists in uploading material into website portals and creating program pages on the website as directed. 

  • Assists with room setups; creates and posts directional signs for sponsored programs.

  • Assists with preparation and implementation of special programs/promotional activities, e.g., Religious Education Congress.

  • Assists with managing and providing Zoom access for CSD and ASD sponsored programs including weekends and evenings.

  • Assists with creative projects such as designs ads, flyer layouts, photography, videography, etc. 

  • Assists in production, posting and uploading on social media platforms.

  • Operates office and household equipment.

  • Performs other functions as assigned by Office and Program Managers.

 

Position Qualifications:

  • Minimum Education Requirements: High School Diploma, Secretarial Training and/or AA Degree or equivalent. 

  • Preferred Education Requirements: BA Degree, Microsoft Office Certification 

  • Minimum Experience Requirements: 1 to 2 years’ experience with increasing levels of demonstrated computer competence with Microsoft Office

  • Preferred Experience Requirements: 3 or more years’ experience with extensive experience with computer programs such as Microsoft Office Suite, and various social media platforms

Team Lead, LVN, RN

Within the framework of the Operational Philosophy and Goals of the Special Care Unit, organizes the activities of the Nursing Team for the shift in such a manner as to achieve competent and safe nursing care while respecting the uniqueness of each resident.  The Team Leader is responsible for the performance of the nursing care team for the shift.

Essential Functions:

  • Works with the Administrator & RN Supervisor to ensure that the Mission and Values of the CSJ Sisters and St. Joseph Center are implemented into the care that is provided to all patients (residents) at Regina Residence.

  • Is knowledgeable about the health status & care needs of each patient and addresses these needs based on the person-centered care philosophy.

  • Administers medication and treatments in a safe and timely manner.

  • Implements physician’s orders for each patient with accuracy, thoroughness and understanding and in accordance with pharmacy policy.

  • Responds professionally, swiftly, and appropriately in the event of an emergency (i.e. medical emergency, fire, earthquake).

  • Documents summary of patient’s condition as needed and on a regular basis in patient’s chart.

  • Communicates changes of condition to the appropriate individual(s) (i.e. RN Supervisor, POA, next of kin).

  • Organizes, coordinates, and supervises the nursing care team (CNA’s) to provide quality nursing care and ensures that call lights are answered in a timely manner (<5 minutes

Clinical Director (RN License; BLS; BSN)

The Clinical Director performs within the framework of the Person-Centered Care Philosophy & Goals of Regina Residence as well as through the mission of the St. Joseph Center. The Clinical Director provides oversight, support, and coordination of all medical, dental, vision and personal care needs for the Sisters/residents we serve. Supervision of nursing staff is a key component of this position. In addition, the Clinical Director seeks to provide and promote care which is in line with the Person-Centered Care philosophy, as well as rooted in the mission and charism of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Orange.

Essential Functions:

  • Provides direct oversight, support, and coordination of all medical, dental, vision and personal care needs for the residents of Regina Residence.

  • Coordinates care needs for Sisters residing outside of Regina Residence who may have an acute illness and/or who need to transfer to Regina Residence for additional support.

  • Provides direct oversight and supervision of Team Leaders (RN’s, LVN’s), CNAs, and the Staff Developer. This includes hiring, counseling, mentoring, and coaching.

  • Provides oversight, support, and coordination of the medication management program. This includes but is not limited to routine medication cart & MAR audits, coordination of medication education with the house pharmacy, and assistance with medication orders as well as the monthly medication cycle.

  • In direct consultation with the resident, nursing care team and the interdisciplinary team, the Clinical Director develops and updates resident care plans on an ongoing basis to ensure that the individual care needs of the resident are being met and are in line with the person-centered care philosophy.

  • The Clinical Director is the primary clinical point of contact with ancillary care services, CSJ Leadership team, and DPOAs.

  • Responsible for on-call coverage of Regina Residence as needed and as determined by the Regina Residence Administrator. This may include after hours, weekends, and holidays.

  • Flexibility with time is required to meet the needs of the residents and support of the care staff.

Position Qualifications:

  • Required: Current California RN License; BLS; BSN preferred.

  • Minimum of two years of supervisory experience in a long-term care setting is strongly preferred.

  • Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a skilled nursing setting and/or assisted living community is strongly preferred.

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in caring for individuals with dementia and dementia related disease and end-of-life care is strongly preferred.

  • Experience in working within a religious community/and or with women religious is preferred.
