About the event
Every year we journey through Holy Week remembering the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus through the eyes of the figures who accompanied Jesus. All too often, Mary is frozen in time as the young woman with babe in arms. Let us not forget the swords that pierced her heart and drew her into middle age and beyond. It was Mary who first said, “This is my body.” For it was Mary of Nazareth who companioned Jesus though all the joys, sorrows, struggles, blessed moments, and suffering. This retreat will reflect on Mary’s soul-stretching journey with her son though the trials and sufferings of his Passion and Death. Only great love could have sustained her in these horrific last days. Guided reflection using visuals, music, journaling, and sharing of the heart will flow through this morning of prayer.
