About the Presenter:

Sister Ellen O'Leary, CSJ, teaches a long-running watercolor class at St. Joseph Center; for her, watercolor is the way to channel her creative energy. “People have these preconceived ideas of what art supposed to be like and what a picture is supposed to be like. It all has to be dismantled until they come to a point that they've reached that freedom inside of themselves to let go," she says. "It's like the paint is on the paintbrush, the paintbrush is in your hand. You dip it in water and you put it on the paper. When I can get folks to do that in a simple way, I feel so good inside.”
