About the event
This retreat experience will explore the themes of hope, faith, joy, and peace that are the gifts of each Advent season. After starting with Mass and a light breakfast, we will use scripture, Visio Divina, Lectio Divina, journaling, and quiet time to enter more fully into the sacred journey of Advent.

About the Presenters:
Sister Karen Clock is a Sister of St. Joseph of Orange. Her former ministries include teaching and counseling as a Marriage and Family Therapist. She is a graduate of the Art of Spiritual Direction Program and is currently on the staff of the Center for Spiritual Development, where she is engaged in spiritual direction, supervising directors, lectures, and retreats. She considers her primary call to be a companion to those seeking a deeper relationship with God.
Sister Jayne Helmlinger, CSJ, is a member of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Orange. She has an academic background in business, administration, and health care mission, and a certificate in spiritual direction. Before transitioning into mission integration, Helmlinger worked 25 years as a health care executive, holding various management positions and serving on numerous Catholic health care boards. Within the Sisters of St. Joseph of Orange, Sister Jayne has served in positions related to formation, health care, and finance, and served two terms as general superior. She also served the Leadership Conference of Women Religious as a board member, president and president.
