Magnificat: My Soul Rejoices

The Center for Spiritual Development invites you to gather as a community to welcome the Advent season and prepare for the birth of our Savior. The retreat morning will begin with Sunday Liturgy at Sacred Heart Chapel followed by a light breakfast. The remainder of our time together will include reflection, conversation, prayer, and ritual. God calls YOU, as we are all called – how do we rejoice in giving our YES? Join us as together, we explore the gift of giving ourselves.

About the Presenters: 

Sister Karen Clock is a Sister of St. Joseph of Orange. Her former ministries include teaching and counseling as a Marriage and Family Therapist. She is a graduate of the Art of Spiritual Direction Program and is currently on the staff of the Center for Spiritual Development, where she is engaged in spiritual direction, supervising directors, lectures, and retreats. She considers her primary call to be a companion to those seeking a deeper relationship with God.

Sister Christine Hilliard is a Sister of St. Joseph of Orange. She earned her Masters of Arts in Theology at St. John’s University in Collegeville, MN. Currently she serves as Assistant Director for the Center for Spiritual Development. She is a spiritual director and presenter on Scripture, especially women in the Bible.
