About the event

Rev. Adelia will share how our indigenous brothers and sisters are impacted by the drought. She will address the challenges of water accessibility and quality for people in urban tribes and those living on reservations. We will learn about climate cycle changes, their impacts on our lives, and how we can prepare for climate consequences.

Adelia Sandoval is the Spiritual Overseer (Púul) and Cultural Director for the Juaneño Band of Mission Indians/ Acjachemen Nation, the indigenous people of Orange County. Adelia shares her Acjachemen Culture through art, writing, storytelling and singing. She is a Ceremonial Leader, Song Keeper, Wisdom Holder, Tribal teacher and healer. She is an ordained minister. She created a ministry called Song of the Earth, A Native American healing service held in outdoor sanctuaries.
