Legal Aid Sonoma County

The Healthcare Foundation partnered with Legal Aid Sonoma County on a three-year $300,000 grant to advocate for policies that will increase housing security.  As a result, Sonoma County passed a permanent tenant protection ordinance for multifamily housing which included the first-in-the-United States ordinance providing a temporary moratorium on evictions during natural disasters. They collaborated with North Bay Organizing Project on a website that tracks publicly accessible information on eviction filings and Sheriff lock-outs with demographic overlay.
